Doyle Brunson has been playing professional poker for over five decades. Nicknamed “Texas Dolly”, Brunson has seen poker in its early beginnings in the United States and how it has gained in popularity worldwide in the last decade. Todd Brunson

David Saab

David Saab is the winner of the 2008 APT Philippines event. He won the top prize of $280,000 in the Manila leg after besting 315 other poker players. Johnny Chan

Johnny Chan is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in poker today. At the age of 21, Chan moved to Las Vegas and became a professional gambler. It paid off as the Chinese poker pro is a key figure in poker tournaments today. He was the first player to win 10 WSOP® bracelets, including his famous back-to-back Main Event wins in 1987 and 1988. In 2002, he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame, joining an elite list of the best poker players in history. His live tournament winnings currently exceed $6,700,000. |

J.C. Tran

J.C. Tran is one of the most prominent poker players at present. A Vietnamese-American living in Sacramento, J.C. is currently the top-ranked player on the Bluff Magazine power rankings. After starting out by playing in local card rooms, he has become well-respected in the poker world. He has topped various poker tournaments and has total winnings of more than $6.7 million to date. His most recent victory was at Event #49 of the 39th World Series of Poker, where he won $631,170 for placing first. He’ll be looking to leave Macau with yet another title under his belt. |

His most notable tournament win came during the 2008 WSOP® when he won his first WSOP® bracelet in the $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em World Championship, earning $539,056 in the process. Born in Indonesia and currently based in California, the ethnically-Chinese Juanda is an example of an Asian poker pro with a global presence. Nam Le

At only 25, Vietnamese-American Nam Le is already considered by many to be a major threat at live tournaments. He will be out for redemption after his early exit at the APT Philippines main event. Nam already has a couple of first place finishes under his belt – the 2006 Bay 101 Shooting Star WPT Championship and the 2006 Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge II, as well top place finishes in several WSOP® and WPT events. His most recent finish was at 4th at the 2008 LA Poker Classic WPT Championship where he earned $411,770.00. Le’s total winnings to date exceed $4.3 million. |

Quinn Do

Quinn Do is another Asian poker pro to watch out for. He finished 20th overall and won $7,500 in prize money. Quinn decided to play poker full time in 2004 after his time at the University of Washington and after dabbling in the restaurant business. Since turning pro, Do has been a regular at major live poker events and has won a WSOP® Gold Bracelet at the 2005 WSOP® Limit Hold’em Event. Other notable finishes by the Vietnam-born Do includes a 2nd place finish at the Bellagio Challenge Cup Championship in 2005 and most recently, a 2nd place finish at the 2008 LA Poker Classic WPT Championship where he went home with $909,400.00. Quinn Do’s total poker winnings to date are close to $2 million. |

Steve Sung

While still lacking a major tournament title, Korean-born Steve Sung has been a top placer in several WPT and WSOP® events, his best finish being second place in the recent 2008 Bay 101 Shooting Star WPT Championship. Before playing in live tournaments, Sung had been an avid online poker player under the moniker ‘MuGGyLiCiOuS”. To date, his total poker winnings amount to over $1.4 million. |

Liz Lieu

Liz Lieu is one of the most renowned female poker players in the world. The Vietnamese-American poker pro used to play mostly cash games before she took off at the 2005 WSOP®, placing fifth in the $1,500 no-limit hold ‘em tournament. Lieu’s first career tournament win came a year later at the 2006 L.A. Poker Classic where she won the $1,000 limit hold ‘em event. She also defended her title the following year with another win in the same event. Her tournament winnings currently amount to over $690,000. |

At 6 feet and 7 inches tall, Huck Seed is one of the most intimidating professional poker players around. The former college basketball player has compiled a notable list of achievements as a poker pro, including winning the 1996 WSOP® Main Event and the $1,000,000 prize that came with it. He has four WSOP® bracelets and currently has tournament winnings of over $4,100,000. |

Mansour Matloubi

While not as popular as some of the other names mentioned, Mansour Matloubi is definitely a player to watch out for at the APT. The Iranian poker pro had done well in many tournaments, including winning the 1990 WSOP® Main Event (and the prize of $835,000). Due to his preference for playing in Europe, though, Matloubi is a low-key figure in American poker. His tournament winnings currently exceed $1,900,000. |
