Poker players from all over the world will be converging in Asia as the Asian Poker Tour (APT) holds events in various locations around the region.
After the success of APT Philippines 2008, the APT is back with its next event: APT PHILIPPINES 2009! Held from January 27 to February 1, 2009, the tournament will once again be a gathering of some of the world's best poker players. It will be held at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel in Makati City and will have a buy-in of US $2,700. The inaugural leg of the 2008 Asian Poker Tour was held in the Philippines from May 27 to June 1 at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel in Makati. Boasting a guaranteed prize pool of US $1,000,000, the event attracted poker pros from the Philippines and around the world. With the buy-in set at US $2,500 and with satellite tournaments conducted, the Tour’s Philippine leg gathered a total of 316 poker players which included marquee names such as Huck Seed, Mansour Matloubi and husband-wife Chip and Karina Chip Jett.
